In the Netherlands there are legally established age limits for getting a piercing;

This is only allowed after your piercing is 100% healed, you will notice that it is no longer sensitive to touch. I recommend leaving a piercing of any kind for at least 16 weeks.

Unfortunately, the "shooting" of earlobes still happens on a daily basis, the reason I don't do this and don't recommend doing it is because I get people in my salon with inflammation complaints / crooked holes / ingrown buds that have to be surgically removed and other miserable complaints.

Do not touch your piercing with dirty hands and turning the piercing is also not conducive to the healing process as it can irritate your piercing and cause bumps to develop.

after placing the piercing you should clean your piercing twice a day (with well washed hands) with an antibacterial soap, I recommend the liquid hand pump version of unicura soap for this. You do this until your piercing is completely healed.
