Is a pmu treatment painful?
Pmu is not experienced as numb, but it is certainly not very painful. It is recommended to order Emla cream from the GP before the treatment, I can then apply this to you before the treatment takes place
How long does pmu last?
Permanent make-up lasts 1 to 2 years, and a touch-up treatment is needed. Pmu fades with time and will never disappear completely.
Aftercare
Immediately after placing pmu, an aftercare lotion is applied. This lotion ensures that the newly pigmented permanent make-up is protected and the penetration of bacteria is prevented. The formation of crusts/scabs is significantly reduced. The PMU must be kept as dry as possible for the first 7 days.
Cold sore after pmu treatment
Pmu treatment/ lip pigmentation treatment on the lips can cause an acute cold sore outbreak. This virus is called the HSV virus (Herpes simplex virus), it is possible that you are a carrier of the virus.
Contraindications
I do NOT perform PMU;
Old PMU
It is possible to pigment over "old" PMU from another tattoo artist. Provided this is indicated to me in advance.
